The global pandemic has affected all of our lives in different ways. Some of us find ourselves scrambling for time juggling family members, work and school all under the same roof. Others of us are filling the time with self-improvement or by diving into new, enriching hobbies or projects. One thing is for certain in this time of uncertainty: we still need to be able to prioritize our health and take care of our bodies.
It’s not up to us to decide if you have time to take a Bar Method class in the midst of your busy day, nor is it our place to judge your priorities and commitments. However, we do believe that it’s our responsibility to provide you with a Bar Method experience that’s there for you even on your busiest day when you don’t feel like you can fit in a class. With that (and you!) in mind, we would like to introduce Bar Combo, a 30-minute, muscle-targeted workout from The Bar Method.
Can you really get an effective Bar Method workout in 30 minutes? The answer is yes; we intentionally designed this class to target specific areas so we could stay true to our mission and goal to sculpt your body in the safest, most effective way possible.
If your studio is offering Bar Combo, you will do a warm-up that includes traditional leg lifts, push-ups, and a plank. The remainder of class will focus on two specific targeted areas before ending with a traditional elongated stretch series. Classes could include a combination of targeted areas like your arms and abs, your thigh and seat, or your thigh and abs, etc. For example, if you see Bar Combo: Seat and Abs on the schedule, you can expect to get a full set of seatwork and a full curl set in class. Focusing on two targeted areas will allow you to still experience that deep Bar Method muscle burn and sculpt that you know and love.
