About the STUDIO

The Bar Method Los Angeles - Brentwood is a boutique fitness studio offering barre classes for students of all levels. The signature method uses your own body weight, the ballet barre and a few props to create a transformative workout that results in long, lean sculpted muscles. Not only does it reshape your entire body, but it allows you to channel your inner strength and leave class feeling strong, confident and poised. Highly-trained instructors customize the exercises to ensure they are safe and effective for any age and every body, including modifications for pregnant women and students with injuries. Our staff and community are here to support you from the moment you walk through the door.

The Bar Method Brentwood is located in the picturesque Brentwood Town Center's courtyard across from the Country Mart on 26th and San Vicente. There is street parking in surrounding neighborhoods and there is also validated parking for two hours in the Center's underground garage for $3 . You can attend class at any or all of our 4 westside LA studios: Marina del Rey, Brentwood, West LA, and West Hollywood.

Mimi Leonard Fleischman grew up in New York City where she graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Columbia University in 1973. Over the next 20 years, Mimi marketed events, books, products and then became a promoter at nightclubs such as Studio 54, Limelight, and Palladium in New York City. Mimi moved to LA in 1991 to be Creative Director of Tatou Supper Club in Beverly Hills and later retired to become a full time mom of her then grammar school aged kids. In 2002, Mimi decided to return to work and was inspired by The Bar Method studio her sister, Burr Leonard, had opened.
