The Benefits of Our Signature Bar Method Class

Why do we love our signature Bar Method class? Because it’s a workout like no other. You’ll be challenged over and over again — and you’ll want to keep coming back for more.

Our science-backed Method intelligently fuses strength training, Pilates, cardio, yoga, and ballet. Combine that with expert instruction and our empowering community, and you’ll push your body (and mind!) further than you thought possible.

Benefits:

  • Lean, sculpted muscles
  • Increased overall strength and mobility
  • Improved mental resilience

What to Expect From a Signature Bar Method Workout

Our signature Bar Method class comes in 60-minute or 45-minute sessions that work every single muscle and build all-over strength. You also have the option to do a 15-minute Bar Restore add-on to refresh your muscles, recenter your mind, and kickstart recovery after class.

Here’s how each signature Bar Method class flows:

  • Begins with a warm-up to get your blood flowing, body moving, and muscles ready to put in work.
  • Moves through a curated series of weight, thigh, and seat work, followed by an abdominal session.
  • Lights up your core with targeted curl work.
  • Continues with a fun, endorphin rush exercise to cap off the physical work.
  • Ends with energizing movement and mindful stretches.

Consistency meets challenge
While every class follows our tried-and-true Method, no two classes are the same. That variety is what leads to true transformation. Our technique is designed with kinesiologists and physical therapists to ensure every exercise keeps your muscles engaged to safely and effectively build strength and definition.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Bar Method Format

With a regular barre workout schedule, you could start to see visible results in as few as two weeks. Barre training elongates and tones muscles, improves posture, and makes movement easier — and those are just the physical benefits. You’ll leave class on day one feeling like a stronger, more powerful you, backed by our powerful Bar community.
Our workouts are carefully designed and safe to do every day, so you can do the number of barre classes that feels best for you. We recommend starting with two to three workouts per week until you’re ready to do more frequent training.
Nope! Our barre classes are designed for any fitness level and ability — no ballet experience necessary. Our expert instructors will guide you through each movement and provide modifications as needed.
While both barre and yoga involve low-impact movements and enhance your mind-body connection, barre workouts put an extra emphasis on strength training and use more equipment like dumbbells or resistance bands. Barre also gives you all the core strength and balance benefits of Pilates, with an added cardio boost.
You’re going to get sweaty — bring a towel! And hydration is key to performance and recovery, so don’t leave your water bottle behind. For an extra boost, grab a pair of grippy socks!
